CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST TO DEVELOP TRAINING MANUALS ON PEACEBUILDING AND “COMMUNITY CONNECTORS FOR PEACE” - SUSTAINABLE LIVELIHOODS/ INCOME GENERATING ACTIVITIES (IGAS)

Women in Alternative Action (WAA) Cameroon in synergy with partners: the Global Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflict (GPPAC) and Trauma Center Cameroon (TCC) are seeking the services of 2 consultants to:


1. Develop and provide Youth Friendly Training Manual on Peacebuilding, to be used for the pieces of training of youth as peace champions.


Consultant Skills and Qualifications

  • A proven record of developing Peacebuilding, Advocacy and Conflict Resolution Workshop training material

  • Experience in research and information management in Community Development

  • At least 3 years of experience in workshop facilitation in, conflict, advocacy, and peacebuilding programming

  • Has prior experience in producing training manuals, handbooks, peace toolkits and any other relevant material

2. Develop and provide a training manual on “Community Connectors for Peace”, an initiative that brings together a group of youths to engage in activities aimed at proving skills as an alternative to guns and violence, transforming mindsets, promoting unity and co-existence, and sustaining relationship in a community.


Consultant Skills and Qualifications

  • Must have at least a university degree in business, economics, marketing or human resource

  • Proven experiences in informal micro-savings and credit approaches, with specific references to VSLA modality, small business and IGA management skills

  • Previous experience working on livelihood projects

  • Previous experience conducting business pieces of training for IGA and livelihood activities

Language Requirement

  • Proficiency in English is a must
