ABOUT THE CAMP
Transforming the minds of youths as community peace-builders is essential in fostering peaceful just and inclusive societies that leave no one behind and NYCP is relevant in advancing the UN Resolution 2250 on Youth Peace and Security and is in line with WAA Cameroon’s empowering youths for the next generation (EYNG) agenda.
The NYCP offers a unique opportunity for young girls and boys between the ages of 15-25 from the ten regions of Cameroon to experience living together, promoting peaceful coexistence and building a resilient youth for the next generation.
OBJECTIVES
The main objective of the National Youth Camp for Peace is to build peaceful, just and resilient youth leaders for the next generation.
Specific objectives

Equip young people with knowledge and skills on peacebuilding and nonviolent approaches to conflict resolution

Educate youths on nation-building and peaceful coexistence as alternatives to violence.

Offer space for youth networking and information sharing

Guide youths on career choices, entrepreneurship, sexual health and menstrual hygiene.

For five days, the holiday peace camp will offer a unique opportunity for young girls and boys between the ages of 15-25 from the ten regions of Cameroon to experience living together, promoting peaceful coexistence and building a resilient youth for the next generation.
